it represents a lot of things, but recently it is a fashionitem teenage girls like to waer not knowing it used to be a scarf covering the face of hundreds of nomads walking in the desert protecting there face from desertstorms, later after that it represented as an item freqeuntly used as a disguised for terrorist so nobody would know who they were if they would send a video in wich they were doing horrible and illegal things...

so i hope this answers your qeustion?

Keffiyeh in black and white is currently used by Palestinians who support Hamas to show respect for the innocents that are being slaughtered by the Israelis. Its usage in Western fashion is a slanderous insult to the civilians who have lost their lives, and their families.

Terrorists? I guess you're American. Is everybody from the middle east a terrorist?

i am dutch, and telling me i am an american is insulting me in very different ways...

i know my trivia very well, and yes it is also used for that purpose i know, but it is only a piece of clothing... remember that!

a piece of fabric doesnt kill people, it says nothing, it is free to interoperate in whatever meaning you want to give it... it doesnt say much about me, but more about you and your way of life...

but i agree with you that it is indeed horrible what happens in the middle east, but i didnt made it happen.

i find it stupid, and childish that people are fighting of pieces of land, religion or whatever there fighting about over the cost of thousands and thousands of human lives...

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend by assuming you were American! That word is just so commonly used over there! My most profuse apologies. I wouldn't like to be called out as an American any more than you would (I'm Canadian, so we get it a lot!)

It is such a tragedy what is happening, but because it's current, the "piece of clothing" does have a connotation at the moment.

It seems like such a waste, doesn't it? The lives of innocent people over a stupid land dispute. :(

let me tell u a little storie ouf professor told us to explain what is really happening.

she had two little sons, and they came right after each other wich made the other a little bit older. they were always fighting about there room. that the right side was from him and the left for the other... but as always one of them wasnt satisfied, his bit was a smaller so he drew a line..
right across the room, and every time the other would pass theyd fight!

thats what happening now, there fighting like children do..
